Dear Kindergarten Families,

 

Welcome to the wonderful world of Kindergarten! My name is Belinda Sanchez and I am thrilled to be your child’s teacher this year! I know our days together will be exciting and full of learning opportunities for all of us. I am committed to creating a positive and successful classroom environment that promotes each student’s desire to achieve. Our classroom is all set up for the beginning of school with lots exciting activities to do!

 

Please arrive at 8:15 on the first day of school with your child and come straight to our classroom. Upon arrival, we will find your child’s name tag and help him/her hang up their backpack. There will be a few minutes for the children to explore our room while we wait for everyone to arrive. Parents, please plan on staying in the room with us for about the first 20 minutes while we make introductions and start our day. During this time, I would appreciate it if you could fill out the sign in sheet letting me know how your child will be getting home.

 

School ends for kindergarten at 1:45. At pickup time, If you park your car, please walk over to pick up your child at the benches. If you are driving through the car lane, please put your child’s car seat on the right side and pull all the way forward, staying in your car. The teachers will help your child get into your car. If your child is still learning how to put on his/her car seat belt please park your car in the lot and walk to our room to pick up your child. Also, please make eye contact with me and wave goodbye when you pick up your child so I know they are with you.
